This Cookie Policy explains how Marwil Safety LLC d/b/a VeriField Pro (“VeriField Pro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access the VeriField Pro MSHA platform (“Platform”) and our website at verifieldpro.com.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site operators.
Cookies can be “session cookies” (which are deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third parties (“third-party cookies”).
2. How We Use Cookies
VeriField Pro uses only first-party cookies: cookies that keep you signed in or make a specific feature work, such as two-factor sign-in or answering an emergency message, and three that remember preferences in the dashboard (two for the display, one for your time zone). We do not use cookies for marketing, advertising, analytics, or user tracking purposes.
3. Cookies We Use
The following table describes every cookie the Platform's web application sets. Some are set only in the situation described.

Set only if an account that uses two-factor authentication chooses “Skip for now” at the two-factor prompt. Lets that account reach the dashboard in this browser without the code, and holds that account's user ID so it never applies to another account.

Set when you answer an emergency roll-call message from its link. Lets that page add your device's location to your answer. It is sent only to the one address that records the location and cannot be read by page scripts.

4. Cookies We Do Not Use
VeriField Pro does not use any of the following types of cookies:
Marketing or Advertising Cookies: We do not serve ads and do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or target advertisements.
Third-Party Tracking Cookies: We do not allow third-party cookies that track your browsing activity across websites.
Analytics Cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar third-party analytics tracking cookies.
Social Media Cookies: We do not embed social media widgets that place tracking cookies on your device.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
View what cookies are stored on your device.
Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
Block all cookies or only third-party cookies.
Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set.
Please note that the sign-in cookies are required to log in and maintain your session. If you block them, you will not be able to access the signed-in Platform, and deleting them signs you out. Blocking the two preference cookies only means those display settings are not remembered.

6. Local Storage and Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, the Platform may use browser local storage and IndexedDB for the following purposes:
Offline Photos: In forms that take a photo, a photo attached while you are offline is kept on your device until your connection returns; it is then uploaded and removed from your device.
Application Cache: A service worker keeps copies of the application's static files (scripts, styles, images and fonts) so pages load faster, and a small offline notice page. It does not keep copies of the data the application loads from our servers.
User Preferences: Storing display settings such as your light or dark theme, your language and your favorite sidebar items.
Remember Me at Check-In: If you tick “Remember me on this phone” when you check in at a site, the name, phone number, email address, company, MSHA contractor ID and language you entered are kept in your browser's local storage on that device, so the check-in form can fill them in on your next visit. The box is not ticked unless you tick it. The saved copy is deleted when you choose “Not me” or “Forget this phone”, when you check in with the box unticked, or when you clear your browser's site data. A saved copy older than 90 days is not used and is deleted the next time the check-in page is opened on that device.
Local storage data remains on your device and is not sent to our servers except as part of normal use of the Platform.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
